(Fri)Enemies to lovers and opposites attract meet forbidden love at the workplace. The Honey-Don’t List is a cutesie romcom with likable protagonists and super annoying bosses. The writing is witty and light but provides plenty of deeper moments. The characters are well fleshed out and the plot is easy to follow. All in all, this is an adorable, yet fluffy, read intertwined with some steamy scenes and a whole lotta daydreaming. This was my first Christina Lauren book and the duo didn’t disappoint in entertaining me. It just wasn’t anything special. The present tropes have been done many times before and the story itself reminded me of several movies. The highlight is really their writing style, which isn’t something I can say often in the romance or chick-lit genres. So kudos to them. If you’re looking for a sweet leisure read with great potential for being turned into a film, pick up this novel. It’ll hold up to your expectations and will keep you engaged.
I would like to thank NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for my advanced copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
I really need/want to get on the Christina Lauren train. They sound fun!

This was such a disappointment for me 🙈, although there will always be books I love more than others, can’t love them all 😀
